Its about DAMN time someone said sorry

I hate this movie so much I wont even post a picture of it on my site.

Top Ten Tuesdays: Most Disappointing Films

10. Dragon Ball: Evolution

I watched Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z a lot when I was a kid my friend Bill got me into the whole mythology and ever since then I have been a HUGE fan. I own just about every saga on dvd and i just started re buying them as seasons, so why on earth did this movie suck so bad. 1. Casting was just so offal I don't even really want or need to talk about it. 2. The story sucked big nuts I don't even really remember the whole thing. I just couldn't get passed Goku being in his 20's and not having a damn tale, if this is Dragon Ball and not Dragon Ball Z which it is Goku should be a little shit with a damn monkey tale... don't get me started on how bad OOZARU was. and 3. The movie didn't even need to be made the whole Dragon Ball series should just be left alone... on that note I hope Keanu Reeves stays the hell away from Cowboy Bebop.

9. Super Mario Bros.

Yes I loved this movie as a kid and I still enjoy watching it for its nostalgic value but GOD DAMN what a shit pile this is. Im laughing as I type this because how can you be serious about reviewing a movie like this I mean the only similarity between this movie and the classic video games was the names of the characters and the color of the overalls the iconic plumbers ware. I don't know any way they could of done a live action Mario movie but this is definitely not the way it should have been done. Ill leave you with my favorite part of the movie.
Sergeant Simon: Name.
Mario: Mario.
Sergeant Simon: Last name.
Mario: Mario.
Sergeant Simon: And you?
Luigi: Luigi.
Sergeant Simon: Luigi Luigi?
Luigi: No, Luigi Mario.
Sergeant Simon: Okay how many Marios are there between the two of you?
Luigi: Three: Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.

8. Aliens VS. Predators

I was so pumped to see this damn movie me, my brother, and my friend Brian were on our way to see this movie and witnessed a car accident, we didn't stop to help because we had to see these two legends battle it out for the first time on the silver screen.... We should have stopped for that accident, that would have been more entertaining than this piece of shit movie. I was so disappointed that the movie wasn't the least bit entertaining, one part in the movie that really sticks out in my mindas one of the worst scenes in history is when the lead Predator teams up with the female lead (which was bad enough) and gives her weapons made out of Alien remains uuugggggggg oh and later the Predator is explaining the bomb on his arm using hand gestures and it just looks offal... I HATE THIS MOVIE

7. X-Men 3 The Last Stand

X-Men the movie was good, especially the wolverine scene in the bar, I enjoyed that. X2 X-Men United I thought was a cheesy title but a hell of a good movie (Nightcrawler Kicks ass). Unlike the first two films
X3 The Last Stand could go down as one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The whole premise was just boring and.... wait I just noticed at the bottom of the picture I posted for this movie it says "Great Action... The Greatest X-Men movie yet!" Who ever said that should have his eyes and tongue ripped from that pile of feces he calls a head so he can never see or talk about another shitty movie like that ever again. Anyway this movie ruined the trilogy ( that wont be the last time you read those words today). What an Utter disappointment.

6. Spider-Man 3

I was so hyped up for this movie I couldn't wait for it to redeem Spider-Man 2 (yeah I said it, Spider-Man 2 SUCKED). When I heard the black symbiotic suit was in it I said to myself "this movie can't be bad its based off the Venom arc, the best story arc in Spider-man comic book history." oh how wrong I was not only was the black suit the same exact thing as the red and blue suit but Venom was barely in it and he was played by Topher Grace... WHY! and why put Gwen Stacy in now she should already be dead... I wanted this movie to be good so bad that i actually put myself in a state of denial, thinking it was actually good... until I saw it for a second time. Im actually glad there rebooting the whole damn series, even though that will probably suck too.

5. Wanted

Im not going to say I completely hated this movie, I thought it was fun to watch, the action was pretty good, and it had one or two of Millar's "Fuck Yeah!" moments in it.  That being said what a poor excuse for a comic book adaptation. This was nothing like the Wanted comic book, there was no mention of super heroes being killed off by all of the worlds super villains or any of the other major plot points in the comic. This movie just took the beginning and end of the comic and threw in some random shit about a fraternity and bending bullets. Oh and Fuck Angelina Jolie, why does she take up most of the poster when James McAvoy is obviosly a better actor and actually the main character? Because shes "HOT"? Id rather see just about any other actress play Fox I can't stand Jolie and her dry acting. Go make out with your brother bitch.

4. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

If you can point out one good thing about this movie I will buy you a copy of this abomination and watch it with you just so you can see my eyes bleed. Im just going to keep this one short and to the point. It had bad CG, half of the characters had nothing to do with the original Weapon X program, the story just blew as much balls as the acting, they ruined Deadpool, Wolverine and Sabertooth were buddies at the end, Gambit didn't have a strong Louisiana accent, that hobbit was in the movie, the weird looking young version of professor X, Scott Summers, Storm, and Emma Frost even being in the movie, and Wolverine having styled hair. This is one of the biggest WTF movies ever... I rather watch New Moon a thousand times before this.

3. The Matrix Revolutions

To me The Matrix marked the beginning of my true love for movie making  and martial arts movies. Not only was it a technical masterpiece but also a refreshing original idea for once. It was also the first DVD I ever bought and that DVD kicked ass it showed you how they did all the cool ass special effects and fight scenes. So why did the two sequels suck so bad? Because they just did, I mean they could of thought of any other outcome for the end of the trilogy and it would have been a better ending, but no they went with watching the sun set with Colonel Sanders, Aunt Jimima, Bruce Lee, and bad acting little girl. Hell one look at that DVD cover could tell you how bad the movie is, a five year old with down syndrome could have designed a better cover than this. They should have just left the matrix as it was.

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

Even as a child I knew this movie sucked my bebop and rock steadies. For one, they didn't even look the same, the Turtles looked so damn dumb and there lips were so badly out of sync that I remember this without seeing the movie in the last 3 to 5 years. One thing that always bothered me was that it was in Japan and not in New York City like the first two films, another thing that brought my piss to a boil was the lack of TMNT characters in the majority movie. NO Casey Jones, NO Shredder (I know he was killed twice but still), and NO Krang. The only character besides the turtles was April. The bad guy was so dumb and annoying, they could have picked any other guy to be the villain and it would have been better, I would even take a talking brain, at least it would have been closer to the cartoon. I wish I could use that stupid ass scepter and go back in time to erase this movie from existence or at least stop myself from watching it.

1. Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

This is the biggest disappointment I have ever felt, there's not much more I can say about this flaming pile of shit that hasn't already been said so I wont waste my time but i will say I liked Darth Maul...

Spider-Canned!

Anyone who knows Spider-Man knows he's always been Marvel's most relatable character, and those of you who read Spider-Man on a weekly basis know Mr. Parker is now unemployed. I too am now unemployed and feel the instability and fear that goes with not having a steady paycheck, as I'm sure many other Americans do. My reason for this post is to say how Marvel gets it. They know the world is not perfect and that even the best of us can fall on hard times, but more importantly they show us that it is possible for us rise back up and fight this recession. So to anyone who is out of work right now just know Spidey is with us and were going to web sling out of this one together.

Take a look at our new Captain America!

Yup Chris Evans has accepted Marvel Studios' Offer to play the shield wielding captain for at least 3 Captain America films and The Avengers. I honestly dont know what to think. I wanted a more serious actor for this part but hey I thought Heath Ledger was a shitty pick for the Joker at first.

DAAAAMN!

Top Ten Tuesdays: Comic Book Movies

With April right around the corner and the movie Kick-Ass about to hit theaters along with Iron-Man 2 i decided that this week I will be giving you my top 10 Comic Book Movies because that list is most likely about to change. I will no doubt piss a few people off with my choices but i will give you my reasons for why I chose these particular movies. Here goes nothing.

10. Punisher: War Zone

Yes I had to put Punisher in there. you may think this movie is cheese filled but I think its fucking awesome, sure I can do without the ramblings of Doug Hutchinson as Looney Bin Jim but besides his annoying ass character the rest of the movie was great. It reminded me a lot of Garth Ennis' Punisher Max which all of you who've read it know it kicks ass. Punisher doesn't try to be an oscar winning movie it tries to be a fun ridiculous movie and it succeeds, if you don't take War Zone seriously you will enjoy it so if you've seen this movie and didn't enjoy it watch it again and remember what I said.

9. Spider-Man

Let me start by saying I love this movie because it showed the movie industry that comic books are a serious media and have potential to be great movies. That being said I think this movie is overrated... go ahead gasp yell what ever you have to do NOW LISTEN. Spider-Man was good yes but it has a lot of flaws one being the cast Tobey Mguire and Kirsten Dunst just didn't do it for me. First of all they look too old to be in high school, look at Superbad i feel like that movie is the only movie I know that gets the look of High schoolers down. Second Kirsten Dunst is just unbearable, I hate her face and I just can't stand her and Tobey Mguire is not that good of an actor just look at Spider-Man 2 and 3 those movies just plain suck and Mguire's acting is part of the reason why. Aside from those two cast members my two main reasons for not loving this movie to death are simple 1. Green Goblins costume sucked big balls and 2. No God damn Gwen Stacey, why wait until the third movie for Peters first true love. GOD!!!

8. X-Men 2

This movie kicked ass for two reasons Nightcrawler and Wolverine its a shame that didn't last, after this movie Nightcrawler didn't want to be in the third film because he didn't like the make up (suck it up bitch you were Nightcrawler) and Wolverine just started to suck because of bad writing (I wish origins could be erased from my memory). Yeah it sucks that the X-Men only had this one good film but damn was it good.

7. 300

If you are looking for a faithful transfer from paper to silver screen this is the most accurate comic book adaptation I have ever seen  and a good movie to boot. The acting is good, the story is spot on, and the visuals were original and mind blowing. I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about this movie. I hate that damn hunchback though.

6. V for Vendetta

When I saw the preview for this movie i was like "haha what the hell is this crap. bullet time knives hahaha" I would have slapped myself if I could go back in time (I didn't know of the comic back then). This movie was Amazing I feel like it was better than Alan Moore's comic, yeah i said it. It was more simplified than the convoluted comic book, don't get me wrong I liked the comic but it got so dull at some points that i had to put it down and read IronMan to wake me up again. At one point this was my favorite comic book movie, it successfully told the story of the comic book while improving on it.

5. The Incredible Hulk

Thank you Marvel for burying that horrible abomination (no pun intended) Hulk. This movie was flawless in terms of visual effects, acting, and telling the story of a man with an unstoppable raging beast that dwells within him. Edward Norton did a great job of portraying both Bruce Banner and his better half the Hulk. He brought a personality to Bruce that felt like the comic books, you didn't see just a man with a problem you saw a man trying to solve his problem with his experience as a scientist. You could feel that Banner had a life before this movie that he had a history of trying to deal with his rage. Plus you hear general ross talk about Captain America.

4.Iron Man

When I first heard they were making an Iron Man movie I was like how the hell are they going to do this. Then I heard they were casting Robert Downey Jr. and Jeff Bridges then I heard Marvel got there own studios and this was the first of many Marvel movies, so needless to say I went from being like this movie's going to blow to Oh man I can't wait to see this damn movie. Man were my instincts right, this movie blew me away Downey Jr. was the only man that could have played Tony Stark the same for the rest of the cast except for Terrence Howard. His voice pissed me off so bad throughout the whole movie he sounded and acted like a pansy and when he was running down the stairs saying "Tonay Tonay" I actually got embarrassed in the theater so thank God they
re-casted  him in Iron Man 2 with Don Cheadle. Overall Iron Man was the best Marvel movie to date lets see if Iron Man 2 can top it on May 7th.

3. Batman Begins

What can I say about Batman Begins... It started the best telling of Batman's story on the big screen, it made Christopher Nolan a household name, and it gave us the Batman voice. When i first saw Batman Begins I wasn't really following any of the media (because of the last installments of Batman movies) so I wasn't too exited but when the movie came on I immediately knew I was in for something special. This movie took Batman and put him in the shadows where he belonged it also locked in place his relationships with characters of the comics. Batman/Bruce Wayne's relationships with Gordon, Alfred, and Lucius Fox were as deep and well played out as the source material you really got the feeling that this could happen and thats why the movie was so good... Because it put Batman in our world it made us Believe.

2. Watchmen

I know it wasn't exactly like the comic. I know the squid wasn't in there. I hear the complaints all the damn time but hell Watchmen knocked me on my ass. The movie itself is very close to the comic its not perfect but it gets the main idea across. People who didn't like this movie expected too much from it and nothing would have satisfied them. I agree that the squid should have been in it but realistically i know it would have made the movie at least another hour longer just to make the audience understand why there's a giant alien in central park. Squid aside I think Schneider did the best that anyone could have done making this movie even if the comic wasn't done to the T.

1. The Dark Knight

Do I even have to talk about this? If you havnt seen this movie your either blind or don't know your head from your ass. So just go see it and save me 5 minutes of trying to explain how flawless this movie is.

Honerable Mention:
American Splendor            Superman
The Rocketeer                   Nick Fury: Agent of Shield
Batman                              Batman Returns

Thinking Thursdays: Wii are disappointed

I was thinking today, what is the big deal about the Nintendo Wii? I have one of course but it sits there and collects dust until the next Zelda, Mario, or Metroid game comes out... Wii is a crap system the motion controls are now obsolete because of the upcoming release of both Microsoft's Natal for the X-Box 360 and Sony's Move (or whatever there calling there Wii clone). So what now for Nintendo? Does this mean they actually have to develop games with graphics better than the Game Cube and a new system to support those games? I doubt it for now. Nintendo is going to fight this explosion of motion sensor peripherals with their previously mentioned holy trinity (Mario, Zelda, and Metroid). This can only last so long, I for one am tired of only wanting to play those three games on this system, I want a system that has just as many good third party games as it does Nintendo games. What happened to the days when Nintendo was on top? The days you would sit at home on a weekend morning going through a catalogue of Nes, Snes, and N64 games with an infinite amount of choices of good games to play... Those days died when Nintendo decided it was more important to make a system that was for the elderly and little girls then their hardcore fans. Before I end this rant I also want to touch on what I think about the new Mario game being a direct sequel to Mario Galaxy. First off Mario Galaxy was alright I enjoyed it but it was no Mario 64, that being said why do the same thing? Because Nintendo is lazy, they need to go back to there routes and think of a way to improve Mario and not do to him what Sega did to Sonic. Ok now that i got that out have a nice day everyone...

New Expendables poster

If you haven't heard Sylvester Stallone is making another action movie, and if your sighing or rolling our eyes you better shut your mouth and cover you're eyes before i rip em out and eat them like JU JU BEES! Anyway The Expendables is due out this summer and I couldn't be happier, we got one of the best action star casts ever since the 1987 masterpiece "Predator" and the long awaited, long overdue meeting of SLY and the Terminator himself ARNOLD FUCKING SCHWARZENEGGER! If your not excited you either don't know your head from your ass or you haven't grown up with movies like Predator, Aliens, The Terminator 1&2, Rambo, Rocky, Commando, and all the other awesome 80's action movies. For those of you who haven't seen the trailer HERE and prepare to have your jaw fall off.

Michael Caine is Harry Brown

So Alfred gets the chance to be the vigilante this time... I just came across this trailer  and thought it looked interesting, reminds me of The Punisher mixed with Gran Torino.

Marvel still looking to cast their first Avenger.

So I guess Jim Halbert may not be Captain America. according to deadline.com Marvel studios is looking at other actors such as chris evans, Mike Vogel and Garrett Hedlund (who will be in Tron: Legacy). We will  just have to wait and see. The First Avenger: Captain America is slated to open on July 22, 2011.
